Military SHOULD not get involved in terminating unwanted pregnacnies. Allowing military members to get abortions at military hospitals at their own expense only takes care of the part of the expense of the procedure. For one thing I predict that if this is allowed and there are coomplications the persons will then seek compensation for the complications after military discharge. I submit  that the people of this country do not want to compensatate veteran's for any issue in regards to aborption.

If the military is concerned about unwanted pregnancies then developing programs that help with PREVENTION of unwanted pregnancies should be the work of the day; not terminating pregancies.  Where is the personal responsibility in this issue? Unless the pregnacy is due to rape or assault an unwanted pregnancy is due to not taking responsibility for preventing the pregancy in the first place. If there is an unwanted pregnancy then the person should take full responsibility and take care of it herself in all matters; not put it on the back of the government.

To say that abortion is unconstitutional is laughable. The constitution clearly states that all people have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The amalgom of cells that grows within a woman body is no more a human than a clump of mold, at least untill the second trimester. Untill that grouping of cells actually lives and divide untill an actuall fetus is created then it should fall to the womans choice in this matter. Its should make no difference where the abortion is conducted. Although it might be safer for the patient as pro-life activist tend to forget their own teachings and are more willing to engage in violence.

Abortion is un Constitutional, and should NOT be allowed, whether it is on a military base or not. It is NOT healthcare. It does NOT treat any known medical condition, even rape or incest. It is an elective procedure that results in the death of at least one human being and ignores that human being's Constitutional right to live. It would be horribly ironic if the military, whose sole job is to defend the Constitutional protections of US citizens, were to allow such violation of the most fundamental Constitutional right on military bases. America is pro life; let's make it resemble that more.
